2014 marks the third year of our High Performance Economic Development benchmarking survey!

Last year, North Carolina Department of Commerce, Columbus 2020, City of San Jose, Frisco Economic Development Corporation, Village of Romeoville, and Marble Falls took home Atlas gold. These economic development pioneers proved that what they do does impact their community, and have become a model for High performance Economic Development. In this third year of our benchmarking survey we are passionate about our continued effort to prove the worth of the economic development industry. Our benchmarking survey measures real results, and has created the first usable standard for the economic development industry.

Part of our job as economic developers is to understand what businesses and site selection consultants are going through in their business cycle – especially during the corporate location process.

We know that for every company action in the corporate location process, there must be an appropriate reaction from the economic development world, and a response that will hopefully assist companies and site selectors in their quest. Even better – if we can provide them with the necessary tools to make their job easier, then more power to the process.
