After an exciting and jam packed visit to meet our new client, Northern Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP), we came back even more excited to work with this wonderful group!
NLEP represents 14 parishes across Northern Louisiana, each with a truly unique personality.
Our team of Peter Brown, Creative and Technology Director; Lucy Hansen, Front-end Design and Development; and myself, Keeley Sullivan, Account Manager traveled first to Monroe, LA where we visited large employers, business parks and the downtown area. We ate dinner at Log Cabin Grill in Farmerville where we got to meet the entire staff of NLEP and learn further about their diverse area and ED services.
We began our first day conducting stakeholder interviews to get a better sense for the communities strengths and specific characteristics. We then stopped at Century Link, one of the largest employers in Monroe, before heading through Morehouse Parish and stopping for lunch in Bastrop. Then we were back on the road seeing Quachita parish. From there we ventured through Farmerville, Ruston and Minden before landing in Natchitoches where we went on a tour of the historic downtown area and enjoyed dinner. We really enjoyed this charming town and the site where Steel Magnolias was filmed!
The third day was just as busy with more stakeholder interviews in Shreveport, a tour through Bassier and a stop at the Cyber Innovation Center. We also visited InterTech, which is part of a research park and is one of three incubators in the area. We meet local entrepreneurs from Moonbot Studios.
We left exhausted but full of enthusiasm to be working with such a great client in an amazing location. Here is to kicking off an exciting new project!
